Every cell in our body, on earth is an instance of the first cell, and has literally split off from it. The cell is not just a building block for an organism. It is by itself a continuously evolving, generally intelligent and incredibly resilient hyper organism. We are the cell.

Don't worry, we humans really don't know what we are doing most of the time, and it will probably spell the end of us, but the cell is doing fine. It is hard to believe that it does not know what it's doing better than we do.

Or try this: We are doing fine! The humans know little about what they are doing, but humans are an important, short-lived species of primate locusts that can get carbon, minerals and metals out of the ground. The disruption is gone soon, and we can begin to think clearly again.

I am pretty convinced that all cells are part of information networks that span the entire organism, and that the nervous system is only one of these networks. Similar to all people being part of multiple information networks, and governance only being one of them.
