What’s a more interesting research area for you? Would you rather your spend time trying to understand mouse-level intelligence, or would you rather try to figure out this small gap between humans and mice?

Replying to @hardmaru
False dichotomy? More relevant question: do you start to build human-like intelligence from an autonomous agent with a cohesive perceptual model of the world that you extend towards more abstraction, or do you start from abstracted models which you aim to make more mouse-like?
