the US is optimizing for the desire of the people that have power in the US, but that's applicable for all states but the culture and memes spread by the US generally trend towards this concept of "freedom", that's a core aspect of the american meme

The US is plagued by a growing fraudulent emotional economy. You shouldn't get to feel good about something unless there is a verifiable positive outcome. But, politicians care less and less about real outcomes, only delusion to manage perception and reap an emotional payoff.
