Imagine Kant, Spinoza, Locke, Hilbert and Wittgenstein would have been forced to present at TED conferences to gain mind share and funding. The relationship between philosophy and culture would have been such a shit show. Like it is now.

I hear that Turing and Nash may be dead already, and Hinton is not moving significantly beyond the idea that CNNs are a suboptimal solution for approximating scenegraphs, which has been kinda suspected since the invention of digital filters.

TED conferences would have been a communication channel available to them. This is one of many additional channels they wouldn't have had access to in their era. Human philosophy and culture are stronger than ever. The experience for individuals can be unpleasant.

Could you point me to today's Hilbert, Locke, Keynes and Wittgenstein, please? I think we don't even have a Bertrand Russell, we barely have a Pinker any more.

I think the point was that in the modern era's information flood, big ideas and thinkers can easily be overshadowed by smaller short term goals or lost in administrative/marketing mazes

Is it just me or is Atomic Habits like the only book left. Can you offer something orthogonal?

Neither. The world is currently on average more comfortable and safe than in almost all other times in history.
