Should people be morally autonomous, or strive for being integrated into the the morality of their society? The answer depends on whether you are identified as an instance of a group mind or as an autonomous individual.
My point exactly. You are probably identified as a group mind, on the normative level. And you are perhaps not even trying to imagine what it is like to be not?

The idea of unconditionally submitting to an external authority is a horrifying thought to me. Would you like to try? It is a pretty radical decision to rebuild your mind from the ground up into being autonomous.
