Greatest Fault It Instrumentalizes Everything. We have evidence that there are subfunctional, submereological vagueries (feelings, passions, values, drives, qualia). Their ontology IS suppressed IF EVER they have no externalization, functional use? Utility colonizes all Being!

Also, it places something (conceptualization via a mechanistic picture) which is posterior in a false light: that it doesn't necessitate the Senses/Experience to find accretion over time. It's fundamentally dishonest about how Dishonest We Must Be To Do Science.

The Origin of Quantity is likely the best example of this. The need to falsify & coarsen our senses in order to conceptualize Equality (& thus have Number, "measure") underlies categories, words. Deny this, & deny all the UnSame (the qualitative forces responsible for deriving).

Deny that the initial experience is qualitative, continuous long before the quantitative, discontinuous — which only serves to fabricate sophisticated conceptions of the former — & this forced insularity "aids" Science to gain a status of being supreme & objective. At what price?

Such a view fits with a Correspondence Theory of Truth & a utilitarianism in ethos. These are conventions, groundless, insular, authoritarian *conceptions*. Unilateral Coherentist Theories go too far the other way: the connexivity-primacy affirms subjective trackings only.

Anyone who claims they are "humbly fallible" yet remain Unilateral correspondence oriented will lock out any connexive-counter-evidences which lie below the threshold of naming (→nominalism) & evaluativity (→positivism). They will not question how mereology itself comes to be!

A correspondence theorist derives most pleasure from the validation "that a fact is really the case". How an assemblage of facts hang together is a different issue (connexive) altogether!

Do you see that as a metaphysical stance, or as a linguistic commitment?

That there are really only two theories of truth is due to the age old dichotomies we cannot escape. You will (knowingly or not) place a primacy on some logical antinomy (eg obj|mrphsm) despite agnosticism about the overall architecture. Evade/evacuate value-ladenness as u might!

Everything linguistic happens in a horizon unfree from agential dispositions. We probably are doing metaphysics when we begin parsing the world at all. Psychological laws, epistemological positions, logical technology,... where there is value there are metaphysical commitments.
