According to the NYT, if Warren's wealth tax had been in effect since 1982, Jeff Bezos would have $46.8 billion instead of $160 B last year. Instead of $97 B, Bill Gates would have $13.9. That's hugely significant, and still way more than anyone "deserves." Tax the fuckers.

In Amazon’s case, it does not mean that Bezos has 160Bn in the bank, but that he continues to hold a significant stake in his own company. Would Amazon be better without Bezos, or the US without Amazon?

Gates is spending his wealth on charitable projects, such as eradicating Polio. Is Gates worse at spending his money than your government? I don’t have definitive answers on these questions, but I don’t think it’s obvious either
