Nonsense. Until we empirically demonstrate that it is possible to create sentience within an inorganic medium, it remains science fiction. Highly improbable science fiction. As in, we have zero evidence such a thing is physically possible. The Matrix movie isn’t real. smh.

We have ample evidence that it is possible, using a bunch of glorified fat cells organized by a genetic generation rule and learning dynamics. It would be extremely surprising if biological evolution can discover information processing principles that are off limits to us.
