Why is there no German Idealism Cinematic Universe?

this is wrong on many levels, but mostly because its a reply to a joke

I am pretty sure that Germany was better suited to host a rationalist idealist tradition than the US, France or Britain. If that had gone on, German cinematographic culture might be built around the world views of Leibniz or Hegel instead of Tykwer and Schweiger
