So, if you take a perspective in which China does not elicit emotion but is just an evolving superorganism, do you perceive it as intrinsically rational, or is the present Chinese project fundamentally mistaken and bound to fail?

Looking at the economic and political success one may say it is rational. However a lot of problems are covered by the incredible fast rising living standards starting from a very poor society . Leaving this state, I think sooner or later it will fundamentally change or fail.
