The people with the strongest moral sense are often those with the poorest grasp of ethics. That is perhaps not an accident: moral emotions may be the expression of indoctrinated and social priors that regulate behavior before we derive ethics, which requires moral autonomy.
It may be a mix of nurture & nature ethical behaviour (?) Humans, as social animals, have different degrees of "innate takes" on what is wrong or not, fair or not (prior to indoctrination, I would say?)
Agreed. At least some mechanisms/insights from game theory have been considered (that's the topic right now - still Part II of the tutorial going on).
