In that case they are not integrated, so it is more like two mentally handicapped people sharing a body at the same time, I suppose. The experience of parallel first persons requires integration above the perspective taking.

Hmm so there is no decision making after reasoning it depends on who’s in charge at that moment the real self or the ego that is if they are not the same .

In my experience, decisions are made outside of my reasoning. I just experience that I make them, and that they are somehow connected to my reasoning. In reality, I often observe myself doing other things than those that my reasoning wants to do.

The difference between humans and other apes is probably length of childhood (longer development = more training data per layer), different rewards (= paying attention to different types of models) and different behavioral priors (= behaviors we are inclined to try first).

And at the same time we lose our openness to new knowledge when we are getting installed with more data we only grow up to be more rigid in our thinking bc of the reward system climaxes when it comes to a conclusion. And then we either are convinced or we start all over again.
