Even before the coronation of the AI, we realize that governance by a nonbiological intelligence with unlimited agency will be a mistake spelling our doom. The correct solution would have been to breed a giant helpless biobrain with a thousand year lifespan as our queen bee.

Why does biological matter to the intelligence part? Who is the “we” of “our doom”? Humans?

The problem with governance is that the true incentives of the governor are usually not perfectly aligned with governing well. A long lived biological intelligence that depends on being fed and protected by humanity seems to be more easy to align with our survival than techno AI.
