I still think we need to build an alternative to twitter that helps to gain clarity instead of drowning us in ideology.
The incentives within twitter are broken. The problem is not bad users, but emergent dynamics of liking/retweeting/filters/following that don’t bring out the best in our thinking and interactions.

I wish it was. I tend to unfollow or mute highly insightful people if they do culture war more than every second day, and lost a lot of folks I value. If I'd remove everyone who serves their egregore once in a while, not many would be left. And I am not completely clean myself.

What kind of dynamics would bring out the best in our thinking and interactions?

There are many online communities that work well. They tend to be built around shared purposes or some way that accepts the differences, not maximizing engagement. I would be interesting if a twitterlike could work like a brain with many parallel thoughts.
