Feelings are not experienced in the body but in our model of the body: in the somatosensory cortex. Trying to regulate emotions in the body feels natural but will often just lead to psychosomatic disorders.

No, usually not. I meant that if you feel pressure in your chest because you are anxious, you might be tempted to push back against it until you get problems with your lungs, stomach and back, etc.
