Interesting moral reasoning by 5yo: it is ok to eat animals as long as you don't kill them yourself. It is about what the animal feels. The animal does not know that you are going to eat it, so it feels only angry and sad to the people that kill it.

Is the moral universe an untended consequence (sociopathy of an individual state) of a self-referential loop?

The original perpetrator is creating his own moral universe, without it there is no moral dilemma. Instead of being communicated it's recreated by others with the same reference! So if you can imagine someone else feeling guilty you are already involved.
