I sometimes call justificationism “foundationalism” and if you entertain them both it seems they will share not only most of the modeling but foundationalism escapes many local optima where coherentism doesn’t.

yep; my concern is that foundationalism makes it hard to generate ideas, and also isn't accurate to how brains descriptively work.
