There is very little philosophy that deals with problems that people actually have in productive ways. Most of philosophy tries to sort out problems caused by other philosophy. (That’s not meant to be a criticism.)

Yes. I work on continuous time systems and implement software tools. I find Aristotle's ideas on the continuum and infinity are much more practical than Cantor's.
