There does not seem to be much of a continuum between sub life and life, but is there a scalefree notion of life that makes the boundary between life and super life (dynamics that emerge downstream from cells) much more blurry?
Nono, I am pointing at the phase transition that happens when systems can stabilize themselves by using a universal computer (which cells can do, and organisms can do, and societies can do, factories, corporations, and markets, and dumb chemical processes generally cannot).
