Things to ask yourself if you think someone's wrong (1/n) 1. Is there another interpretation of their words? EXAMPLE: A sign said “No human is illegal.” I thought it meant it was wrong to enforce immigration law. But it meant labeling people “illegals” was stigmatizing language.

My interpretation was that Julia made the choice to share a personal example. Something she experienced or interpreted as a result of her own world view. While there may be better examples, critiquing her personal experience detracts from the core message of the tweet.

The personal experience was probably carefully curated to make sure that Julia does not distract by displaying herself as neither overly virtuous nor politically aligned and nothing she particularly identified with.
