Illustration from a parallel universe where I have enough attention to write a manual on how to survive as a nerd in a normie world (not that I claim to be very good at it)pic.twitter.com/k9BLy95vim

There seems to be a group that goes straight from individual aesthetics to group morality. These terrify me the most. The Mitläufer: one of the members in Alex' gang in Clockwork Orange.
Is this to suggest agents generally first act morally based on what they believe society accepts, and upon development converge on their own principles? Difference between sociopaths being those principles are not influenced by the tribe.
Normies go through stages which spring from biases that teach them about the nature of social interaction but have to deconstruct them later (and often don't). Nerds and sociopaths have to account for the nature of social interaction by deriving it explicitly (and often don't).
So effectively that says that evil sociopaths are executing evil actions because of the fact that anything they believe "must be right" and their beliefs center mostly around themselves and their well-being, yet they do not accept criticism as they ignore external truths?
I think of a sociopath as a person that does not feel that the good/evil distinction is real in any way. Actions have just more or less desirable consequences, and games can be longer or shorter.
So nerds are high IQ psychopaths who are sufficiently incentivized to virtue signal basic prosocial values, but they adopt them by a survival strategy rather than how normies do it (by diffusion). Other psychopaths don't signal virtue at all. Of course nerdiness is a spectrum.
More plausible I think.

I see it as being a binary sequence, adding dimensions of perspective as brains/societies evolve. (Also, there are no "normies", each brain is weird in it's own way. :-) https://turil.files.wordpress.com/2015/07/4dgovernment-15-7.gif …
Also, I have a breakdown of the different brain types, using the MBTI categories, as I see it. (You're probably an ISTP: collecting, analyzing, exploring.) https://turil.files.wordpress.com/2015/06/dsmbtiquadrants.gif …
