Deconstruction as in "removing a structure" or as in "analyzing what a structure is made of"?

The former, I think. Full enlightenment states are not very functional.

"Enlightenment" as in "Aufklärung" or as in meditation?
-
Aufklärung repairs defects in rationality, Erleuchtung repairs defects in motivation.

Isn't it a common misconception, that meaning is a thing? Isn't it rather the construct itself, which grew like a crystal, and so is by nature very subjective? Enlightenment shall so be some kind of crack in that, you say? Not some new meta-pattern one recognizes? (q. over q. :)

I think there is a technical sense, in which meaning it the functional role of a model, and a phenomenological sense (upper case Meaning), in which it is the experience of existing inside of a feedback loop.

I always thought the Enlightenment was about the the assumption of meaning, not its deconstruction. Placing man in the center of the universe kind of forces you to posit rationalizations in places where they can actually be detrimental (to your health, sanity, goals etc.)

Enlightenment deconstructs the illusions (among other things) that you are a man, and that the experiential universe is not constructed by something outside of your control, and that the physical universe cares about you, and that it would make a difference if it did.
