Not only exists, but ontologically primary. Not surprising coming from an AI guy, but I'll bite- could you share any readings or arguments on this?

As soon as you introduce infinity into axiomatic systems, bad things happen (as Gödel and Turing did show). You cannot construct a system that performs infinitely many transitions (in the sense that you ever get the result) in any language.
