Liberal bias in psychology is focusing on constructs that explain 1% of the variance while ignoring others that explain 50% because the former are more congruent with progressive ideology than the latter.

50% referring to genes? Judith Rich Harris’s ratio: 50% genes, 40% peer group, and 10% parenting to understand variation is something I would (loosely) subscribe too

I think the peer group theory has serious problems, which Harris recognized later. I’d say 50, 30% idiosyncratic, 10-20 parenting...and then depends on domain.

What parents you have might be genetic too I hear, and even peer group behavior has genetic influences :) And the ratio of nature to nurture is 100% genetic.
