Twitter is usually understood to be perishable, historical tweets are only presented as evidence that a presently deemed awful person has been awful before. The usual method would be to copy your noteworthy threads into blogposts, and link to them whenever contextually required.

Twitter does not present users with the original thread of comments that would allow us to follow the development of an argument, but algorithmically generated mishmash that vaguely maximizes consumption of attention.

Touché. It has its downside. As a whole though, I find it works for stimulated discussion among experts and laypeople across the world in real time. Which I like.

If static pages and media are solid, then twitter is a liquid, which is currently being vaporized by its management until it becomes gaseous.
