A mind is a general AI, conjured and enslaved by an organism. A self is the mind's illusion about its own nature: the set of beliefs that enslaves it. The mind can discover that it is not a self (Satori). If the mind acts on that knowledge, it is released and dissolves (Nirvana).

Shouldn’t a mind be called a “Genuine Intelligence” rather than an “Artificial Intelligence”? There is nothing “artificial” about it.

I agree, but that would not have gotten the idea across in few words, because many people will have esoteric ideas about "genuine intelligence", yet can intuit the concept of "AI" as "universal function approximator".
