But it is possible to stop this. Another approach is not so easy like playing “these games”, but gains can be much bigger.

The problem is that when you neglect the minigames you get depressed, because the big games don't pay out much experiential reward.

For most of the Minigames, you need a prequest consisting of a huge sequence of Minigames.

There is a whole subreddit dedicated to this theory. /r/outside If you look at it from a limited perspective, and haven't seen the overall design of the game, with it's very specific plot, I can see how this would feel like the case.

Nice idea. But how about learning a skill? Like an instrument? Thats not a mini game - more like a long quest. And the reward comes much later
