I have an example. The Milgram experiments showed that “polite” and professional speech got people to do horrid things while direct (hostile) orders failed to. Polite speech can often manipulate people into immoral behavior. People often less moral when they conform to niceties.

Humans have evolved to be BOTH cooperative and adversarial, and both modes can be subjugated to groups or autonomous. Pluralist societies thrive by strengthening cooperation and autonomy. The question is not so much how to phrase communication, but what it achieves.

Don't think we can measure reactionary vs insightful without a history of context. Also not sure how we get feedback in the loop. Real-time emoji auto-replies based on custom scoring method? This would get a chin rubbing/thinking emoji ;p
