If that is true, then the healthiest diet and environment is going to be the diet and environment that kept your ancestors healthy.

that's a really interesting hypothesis. testable too! find people who come from a less long-lived group but immigrated to a Blue Zone as children and see if they gain the longevity.

Anecdotically, people leaving the Blue Zones may often get seriously ill and recover once they move back.
