that's a really interesting hypothesis. testable too! find people who come from a less long-lived group but immigrated to a Blue Zone as children and see if they gain the longevity.

Anecdotically, people leaving the Blue Zones may often get seriously ill and recover once they move back.

Very likely true. Important to also recognize the importance of having a rich social network, which blue zones tend to more readily promote when compared to modern communities
