I disagree: what about the car‘s decision to make if a person jumps on the street? Run over that crazy person or possibly endanger the driver by executing a potentially dangerous maneuver? So basically: car and driver first or environment first?

You are correct. I should have explicitly acknowledged that somehow, instead of just writing a probability as a near certainty to use it as a poor metaphor to make a deeper argument.

With most self driving car trolley problem cases, the car would just have to break? That's what I've read. Whenever I see a self driving car tweet, I forget about that.
