Consciousness is not a property with a single dimension but a phase space of modes of reflected interaction. The occupants of different regions of that space may appear as zombies to each other, because they are aware of different realities.

Consciousness is a simulated property of a simulated self. It is a model of the contents of your attention. Phenomenal c. is a memory of the percepual binding state, access c. a memory of experiencing content, reflexive c. a memory of the experience of the access itself.

1) how is self different from consciousness? If c. Is a model of the contents of our attention, then c. Is also the ego self, the ‘I’. The ‘I’ is a construct of thoughts, feelings, memory. 2) is access c. The ‘knower’? I.e knower of the world, inner thoughts, feelings etc.

The self is a story that the mind tells itself about itself. Part of that story is conscious. "I" tends to be the index of the currently active behavior program. Different "I"s identify with each other because they share attentional memory.
