I suppose that the pious majority of current humanity has been deliberately bred for domestication by a small sociopathic aristocracy, over the course of several thousand years, and that was instrumental for the success of our species.

Could you clairify why it is you are saying rational people are more successful ( the metric) and the domain of multi-level selection to which you refer? ( I think I understand but I don't want to assume beyond a reasonable (rational ) degree (haha). Thx!

Rational people have more agency, because they optimize their models for truthfulness and expected reward. They have all options open to irrational people but are free not to choose them.

Nowadays having kids is a conscious decision. Rational people do it less. Individual rationality is bad for evolution of the society as a whole.

An individuals success from an evolutionary perspective I presume. Whereas nonsuccessful irrationality may actually be successful from a longer-term collective evolutionary perspective (multi-level). If my interpretation is correct.
