For what it's worth, working class whites and college class whites are already different minorities that rarely intermarry and share few cultural traits. Based on historical observations, cultural inhomogeneity makes democracy less stable, not more.

Did you notice that the two groups of whites were much more divided in their voting behavior than other minorities? Having no alternative to a single ruling party (or to a single system of policies represented as two different brands) is not producing stability.
