My main perspective is that There would be no strong "us" that would include humans and exclude artificial beings. First, an AGI is likely to form a more tightly connected, less individualist entity than humans thanks to telecommunications (while humans don't have telepathy).

Second, I don't imagine humans hating the machines for the sake of it. These machines could be nicer than humans. Third, of the machines are more intelligent than humans, I tend to expect them to more worth having than humans.
