The structure of representations in our brain is such that replacing a neuron with another will entrain the new neuron with the same function as the one it replaces.

So if I replaced my own neurons one by one by links to an external emulator I don't even need to measure the state of each neuron replaced, the interaction with surrounding neurons suffices to train it? Your post sounds like a very succinct recipe for brain uploading.

The position if an individual neuron is given by its exact neighborhood and type, which means you‘d still need the connectome, and you need everything around the replacement neuron to be trained, so it is not practical for uploading.
