Fascism and social media mobs are very different, but teach us the same thing: many, perhaps most people are not intrinsically compassionate, kind and just. When they are incentivized to behave well, they behave, and when they see a benefit in harming others, they harm.

Die Idee, dass eine KI das Problem der Umweltzerstörung durch Bevölkerungsreduktion angehen könnte, ist vor allem provokant gemeint. Aber ich glaube ernsthaft, dass vermutlich nicht mehr viel Zukunft übrig ist. Das hat nichts mit Galton zu tun.

"Noble" is about shame avoidance. Doing "justice" is executive social norm corrective (lustfull -> sasdism). Healthy If it's modeled to group/system health, but it can get detached then it's openly called sadism. Look at alternate three party justice systems (perp/vic/group)

Troubles often arise when a group believes that it wins more by adversity against other groups than by cooperation. People are then usually able to make themselves believe whatever they think is in their best interest to believe.

Humans often feel a strong satisfaction in punishing "rule breakers" and unfair behaviour. Perhaps this is the motivation that makes some participate in a mob and makes others protest against injustice.
