When a dog opens an unseen door isn't that proving he thinks? (He transfers previous knowledge on doors to an unseen instance "this door" of the abstract class "the doors".) Language would help him share his thoughts with other dogs.

I was shocked a few years ago when some coworkers (extroverted, not in the AI field) told me they were thinking in sentences going through their mind, and not otherwise. It was when I asked one of them what his meditation was for that he told me it was to stop this inner speech.

this is y i like working on cars, non verbal problem solving. also in my 40s one DAY my body figured out how to iceskate in an hour and a half. not think i used words
