Nice. Should it be? Consciousness is born out of the mind compensating for the disagreement with observed reality. The mind isn't aware of how the universe works, it's only aware of what it can observer (or experience).
-
I'll extend this to, the mind is 'rigged' to understand the reality that it can observe.

What is a “mind” here? Since it’s finding a disageeement I assume it sounds some kind of modeling system. In which case, will this reduce to a certain class of functions?

Self-consciousness, perhaps, but sensation precedes disagreement.

When I go down to the root of sensation, it receives its color by a relevance dimension, and relevance is created by a pain. Pleasure only results from reducing a need.
