Isn't every perception of self a form of tulpa? Different parts of the brain want different things. Maybe a tulpa is partly the result of a lax conductor letting the violins play a little too much staccato over the melodious cellos, etc. Still a single symphony.

I think we become strung into a single person via shared memories, bound under a shared reward model.

Sometimes the only decision that matters is what you choose to pay attention to. What you do with that attention is irrelevant. Focusing on how much you hate something or focusing on how much you love something each has the same result: more neurons describing the thing.

The purpose of modeling is regulation. If you focus on your disagreements with a thing, your model of both the thing and your relationship to it will become a different one.

I doubt since it’s so hard + typically conscious to create one & would become embedded part of your whole decision-making self. Do you have your own Tulpa? I didn’t think this was a generalised thing

The primary self is a tulpa, too. It takes a lot of effort to create.

1. Why "accidental"? 2. Most cases of MPD persons have some sort of childhood abuse/neglect, wonder whether multiple selves gets easily created during chidhood?
-
Tulpas are usually deliberately created, while few people desire to timeshare their body with another person.
