When Google says they don’t operate via a political bias, they’re being sincere. Much of the left don’t see their views as political, but as moral. To them, it’s not that they’re “liberal,” they’re just right.

That is nonsense. There are plenty of political positions that are admitted questions of preference or efficiency.

If a political position is understood as a vector defined by a set of core values, then it tends to be about right and wrong, not efficiency. However, if you take political position to mean any stance that one may take in a political matter, I agree with you.

There is a difference between "what they suggest will not work" and "what they suggest is evil."

There's also a difference between, "I think I have this right and you have it wrong" and "I know I have this right and you have it wrong." One admits the inherent fallibility of human knowledge, the other does not.
