Blue and green are somewhat adjacent properties (they inhabit the same space and differ in a single latent variable), while blue and up connect in a much more distant way, via an ontology of types used to relate appearance and relative position.

That explains their functional relationship, but does not touch the nature of their subjective characters. Why does their relation to each not feel like something totally different but which produces the same behavior?
