Most teachers assume that getting 70% is twice as hard as 35% in each subject. @DSGhataura explains the lack of comparability and in fact the likely demand at 70% is probably far, far harder. #REd18

Some subjects (like mathematics) make no sense unless you understand 100%. Perhaps there should be differently scoped 100% curricula for different children?

Yes, key difference between maths which has a more limited domain and my subject, history, where the ‘hinterland’ provides necessary context to crucial content to provide meaning.
