Never cling to null hypotheses. If something cannot totally be ruled out, it has a non-zero probability to be true, and you have to subtract that from the null hypothesis. Don't build absolutist narratives, but discover maps and meta-maps.

Separate your bets from your beliefs, especially if you cannot afford to make multiple bets. The marginal utility from testing improbable hypotheses is often higher than testing the same hypothesis as everyone else.
