Does that include dimensions of time and space?

This is basically just about the dimensionality of a numpy table.

… such that all dendrites/axons have the length of the lattice spacing? Why is this important?
-
Imagine you want to build a microchip that efficiently encodes the neuron level a human cortex using a general pattern: you would have to make sure that each node can talk to at least 900 neighbors.

How many microorganisms are inside a human? How many possible connections/interactions possible?
-
I don't yet see how it matters. The purpose of the mind is regulation, i.e. it comes down to the determinism that can be achieved *despite* the number of moving parts. The microbiome is being bred by the organism, not the other way around.

I can't follow your computation. 17 dimensions mean 34 direct neighbours, so for 10,000 neighbours (=potential connections) 5,000 dimensions would be necessary.
-
In five dimensions, you can already construct a regular lattice with 40 neighbors.
