You can rationally defeat your intuition, but you cannot intuitively defeat rationality. Intuition is pre-rational, not meta-rational. Meta-rationality is part of rationality. @IntuitMachine
Intuition refers to the primary control models that we acquire to deal with the world. Rational models are secondary, they are often derivatives of tacit models.

I agree. Human cognition are essentially intuition machines with rationality simulated as 'virtual machines'. We don't have a native instruction set for rationality. Thinking fast (intuition) and slow (rationality). It's slow because we haven't evolved a CPU in our head.
