You can rationally defeat your intuition, but you cannot intuitively defeat rationality. Intuition is pre-rational, not meta-rational. Meta-rationality is part of rationality. @IntuitMachine

Intuition is 'knowing without knowing why'. Almost by definition follows it can't 'defeat' rationality by arguments, if that's what you meant.

I can cite two cases where an intuitive system defeats a rational system. AlphaZero vs Stockfish (see: https://medium.com/intuitionmachine/alphazero-how-intuition-demolished-logic-66a4841e6810 … ) and S. Ramanujan. I agree, Intuition is pre-rational, what Chapman hints that meta-rationality is post-rational system dealing with the nebulous.
