I see intuition as something that is borne out of experience and therefore subjective, so by definition it cannot be tested for correctness. We can only approximate to what is more commonly accepted as ‘intuitive.’

What we term as 'intuitive' are explanations that are based on experience. Quantum mechanics is unintuitive because it is outside our newtonian experience.

Intuition is model-free learned features of our worlds.

It's based on an unknown representation that allows use to predict quickly what is possible in our world. It is incorrect to say it is model-free (tabula rasa). We have built in affordances that restrict how we see the world: https://medium.com/intuitionmachine/our-minds-see-and-hear-only-what-we-imagine-dc303056171 …

Introspectively, methinks we use intuition to evaluate our intuition. That process produces feelings. Perhaps there’s some way to model the various feelings which we get? At least, the main directions they may take, eg. fear is about low success and bad results.

Agree. Excellent insight! The brain's analytic capabilities are simulated in a "virtual machine" and as a consequence does not have 'native' (or optimized) support to do analytics quickly (see: Thinking slow).

I like how you write about things so concisely. I think of the same stuff, but feel like I need to share a lot of background with people before they can understand it.
