Isn't that how science has always worked? You find *a* mathematical model that fits your available data, and as soon as someone finds data that doesn't fit, a new model is required. Would have guessed it's a new development to have multiple theories and a lack of data ...

Isn't it obvious that we need to map out the space of all possible theories instead of stopping after the first one that might work?

1. Are you implying some sort of confirmation bias? 2. The solution space may have infinite models within it, so how can one continue with all of the searches?
-
Sometimes we cannot give a solution, but the constraints we want to impose on the solution space and the reasoning behind it. Einstein may have confused a lot of people that came after him more than he had to.

There are an infinity of them according to duhem quine, right? I guess knowing which variants are relevant requires knowledge of problems they work differently on (like accelerating expansion, quantum theory etc).

Countably infinite?

Plus Occam's razor to get the simplest explanation

Occam's Razor should be used to identify the simplest possible explanation but not to reduce the space of possible solutions under consideration. Perhaps the Mandela effect is real i.e. alternate timelines converge. Shouldn't exclude the possibility! http://mandelaeffect.com/

Albert Einstein may well have "discovered" "his" theories via intense collaboration with his first wife Mileva Marić. Nikola Tesla never agreed with Einstein and that should be explored, as Tesla was the true genius not Einstein imho. Einstein admitted that himself.pic.twitter.com/81vPT1VK39

I hate to break it to you but this quote is very likely fake, or at the very least said with sarcasm.
