This @Harvard president's email to alumni defends discrimination against Asian applicants, in the name of promoting 'diversity'. How will this read in 20 years?

Replying to @primalpoly @Harvard
Harvard is disproportionately preparing people for positions in leadership and governance. If any single group of applicants represents the vast majority of those in leadership positions later on, it may have a bad effect on the cohesion of society. Is that a legitimate concern?

A legitimate concern only if you see America as a pool of competing groups rather than individuals seeking opportunity.

It is irrelevant how I (or any other individual) see things. The US has already entered a state of identity politics, i.e. a perception of competing groups. If people begin to think that one must be Jewish or Asian to succeed, the US is headed for a very dangerous future.
